Sustainable Finance - Shaping the Future

Under the motto "Shaping the Future", our 2nd Sustainable Finance Conference took place once again together with the CFA Society Austria at the PwC headquarters in Vienna's DC Tower. ESG experts from various sectors discussed approaches, perspectives and ideas in the field of sustainability high above the rooftops of Vienna. We would like to thank the great speakers, partners and participants who joined us in making this event a success!

The core motivation for this conference is clearly the urgency of the issue. The underlying idea was to bring people together to share approaches to sustainable finance.

The world shows us very impressively that sustainability in our actions is necessary to create a sustainable future, because it is a question of our survival. A paradigm shift is needed in the financial sector, which plays an absolutely key role.
The presentations by Gabriel Thoumi of Responsible Alpha and Philipp Gaggl of PwC highlighted case studies from the industry, including current challenges and successful practices in the area of ESG and sustainable management. Witold Bahrke and Edward Soekamto, both from Global Evolution, an emerging market specialist asset manager, explained the opportunities in emerging market bonds in the context of interest rate reversals and geopolitics against the backdrop of a green transition. Lukas Feiner and Bernhard Tollay of MetisInvest discussed the outlook for Euro corporate bonds and presented strategies for volatile interest rate markets.

The event emphasized not only the urgency but also the opportunities of sustainable financial decisions-making and highlighted the key role of the financial sector in shaping a sustainable future.
